Davis - Principal

Serving as the Principal of Kennedy Road Middle School is both a profound honor and a deeply personal privilege. Kennedy Road is more than the school I lead; it is the place where my journey in education began and where my passion for serving students, families, and the community first took root.

I began my career at Kennedy Road Middle School in 2007 as a science teacher. Those early years in the classroom shaped my educational philosophy and reinforced my belief that every child possesses limitless potential when provided with meaningful opportunities, unwavering support, and high expectations. The relationships I built with students, families, and colleagues during that time continue to influence my leadership today.

Over the course of my career, I have been blessed to serve in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. In 2020, I returned to Kennedy Road Middle School as Assistant Principal and proudly served in that capacity until 2024, when I was afforded the opportunity to become Principal. To lead the very school that helped shape my professional identity is both humbling and inspiring.

My educational journey has been guided by a commitment to continuous learning and growth. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business with a minor in Economics from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University, an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. Each step of that journey has deepened my understanding of teaching, learning, and leadership while reinforcing my belief that growth is a lifelong pursuit.

As an educational leader, I believe excellence is not merely an aspiration; it is a standard of practice. Excellence calls us to embrace a mindset of continuous improvement, to pursue innovation with purpose, and to remain steadfast in our commitment to student success. It challenges us to move beyond what is comfortable and strive toward what is possible. I believe every student deserves an educational experience that inspires curiosity, nurtures character, and prepares them to thrive in an ever-changing world.

I am especially proud of the progress Kennedy Road Middle School has achieved through the collective efforts of our students, staff, families, and community partners. During my tenure as principal, our school was removed from the state's Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) list, and we experienced notable gains in our College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), including growth in Content Mastery, Closing the Gaps, and Progress. These accomplishments are a reflection of a community that believes in its students and remains committed to achieving excellence on their behalf.

At Kennedy Road Middle School, our work is anchored in three core values: Pride, Excellence, and Impact. Pride is the confidence we take in who we are and the responsibility we accept as stewards of our school and community. Excellence is the unwavering pursuit of growth, achievement, and continuous improvement in all that we do. Impact is the lasting difference we make through our actions, our service, and our commitment to one another. Together, these values form the foundation of our culture and inspire us to create opportunities that transform lives.

As I look toward the future, I am filled with optimism and gratitude. I remain committed to partnering with our families, empowering our staff, and championing the success of every student entrusted to our care. I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead and grateful for the privilege of serving the Kennedy Road Middle School community. Together, we will continue to cultivate a culture where Pride shapes our identity, Excellence fuels our pursuit, and Impact becomes our legacy.

Ambitiously,

Ms. Robyn A. Davis
