Griffin-Spalding County Schools (GSCS) announces a new partnership with Daybreak Health to provide free mental health services, including teletherapy, to students and families across the district.
Daybreak Health provides confidential, evidence-based virtual wellness support for students ages 5–19. Sessions are designed to help students strengthen focus, manage stress, build confidence, and develop lifelong coping skills.
Through this partnership, students can access comprehensive mental health support, including individual and family therapy, through a secure virtual platform. Daybreak Health’s teletherapy services are available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., providing families with flexible access to care at convenient times. Families can access these services by submitting a Care Request at https://care.daybreakhealth.com/patient/create-account or by contacting their child’s school.
In addition to individual and family therapy, Daybreak Health will offer free online mental health classes for families. These virtual classes provide resources and strategies to help families understand and support their children’s mental health needs. This initiative aligns with the district’s efforts to promote mental wellness through its Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs.
GSCS Interim Superintendent Dr. Donald Warren stated, “When students feel well, they can focus, learn and thrive - in school and beyond. We are grateful for the opportunity to offer these valuable supports to our students and families. This partnership reflects our commitment to ensuring that every student has access to the resources they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.”
