Greetings Kennedy Road Cougars, 

 I am Brandice Shackleford! I am overly excited to be apart of the Kennedy Road Family as your Assistant Principal. My passion for education started at a very young age, as I come from a lineage of educators. This experience has contributed to my educational philosophy that is rooted in the principles of equity, collaboration, and lifelong learning, which guides my approach to leadership and instruction.

 My educational journey started with me receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education with a concentration on math and science, two Masters’ Degrees one in Middle Grades Math and Science, and the other in Educational Leadership. I also have a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction along with a number of educational endorsements.

 Prior to being your Assistant Principal I have served in various leadership roles in my educational career, such as math department chair, MTSS chair, co-grade level chair, serve on a curriculum revision team for Henry and Spalding County while presenting professional development sessions and Instructional Coach at Carver Road Middle.

In my personal life I am the mother of two Griffin Spalding students that keep me active. We enjoy weekend football, going to the beach and spending time with family. 

I am looking forward to an amazing school year with our amazing Kennedy Road Family!
