My name is James Ray, and it is my pleasure to serve as an Assistant Principal of Kennedy Road Middle School (KRMS). I have been teaching for nine years, eight of which have been at KRMS. I have spent the majority of my life living and working in this area. I attended college at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC where I earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Computer Science. Later, I attended Georgia College and State University in Macon, GA where I earned my teaching credential. After teaching for several years, I attended Columbus State University in Columbus GA, where I earned my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I served in the US Navy Submarine Force and then worked at the old NACOM Manufacturing plant in Griffin, GA. During my teaching career I have taught High School Business Law classes in grades 9-12, and Technology Education and Middles Grades Math classes in Grades 6-8. At KRMS I have served as the Connections Department Team Lead, PBIS Co-Coach, Robot Club Coach, and webmaster for the school.
I am excited to work with the students, staff, and the amazing community, who make KRMS a great school. I want to partner with you to ensure that our students can be all that they can be and achieve success in whatever path they pursue. I value feedback, and would be happy to answer questions regarding our school, or the district.
With Kind Regards,
